We have come to the end of the Race discussions, but the last one will be interesting for sure!
The week of the Boargen race, you now have the chance to truly shape this race.
As usual, we start off with the Available Classes.
Pirates, yeah it's obvious. How about Mages and Druids? A Boargen Paladin? Necromancer and Witch would be cool, don't you think?
Let the discussions begin!

I think the Boargen shud have there own special class somethink like "Cook chef" or "Butcher", for sure they need to be pirate and warrior allso ranger from mages class i think they need to have necromancer and witch.
All classes available.
Maybe Boargen can be kind of nomad or wandering race. Learning from other races over the world, collecting knowledge.
Boars are peaceful animals, often feared and attacked because they look like predators, but they prefer to avoid fighting, but they have the tools and body to be predators.
Last edited: 2022-05-30 19:35:25I see them kind of an unclean race, so maybe ill make them being unable to be those more "clean" classes acording to general lore, from my perspective those classes would be paladins, priests and mages, this could depend though from the internal lore of SoH.
Necromancers, witches, rangers, druid warriors and mages.

I repeat what I have said in other posts, it used to be restrictive when the races had all classes, but now the only thing I ask is that for a race has all classes, make sure that it will be well balanced and will not be OP :D

I saw your post multiple times and im willing to answer by giving my opinion. I really doubt that the total availability of combinations race/class will affect balance ingame.
Some people like to play in a harcore/super/top-pro-player... way and for those people as soon as a combination has a little more sinergy than another, it'll be considerer optimal or, on the other hand; non-viable. Others like me, like taking MMORPGs in a more chill way and we don't really care about that little advantage someone with a "x% more fire damage from spells" could have over someone who doesnt. We must take also into account those who like roleplaying, for this people maybe seeing some race/class combination could be so incongruent that it might mess up that inmersive fantasy world they've build up with their communities or friends.
In other "universes", taking for example The Elder Scrolls, there aren't really classes. Anyone can learn how to do any ability so classes don't really have the same meaning as they may have in SoH. On the contrary in a world in which a warrior would never be able to cast a fireball (restriction ability/class) it makes sense that this kind of restricction also applies to the combination race/class. Maybe an infernal demon would never be able to be a priest just because its contrary to its own nature (example i just made up).
To end with, having this restrictions makes the gameplay to start before creating a character, trying to find that class/race combination that suits you better. God knows how much time i've spent figuring out which combination to play in WoW. I feel that having this restriction is much more of an adding that a shortage.
My regards. :)

It’s really that I usually put that because I’m bad at choosing something that either you have to forbid something or let it be used all hehe, but I’m okay with your opinion, I mostly mentioned that it’s balanced by the fact that it’s not the first time that in an MMO they get out of hand for that kind of stuff xD
A Greeting :D
