SOCIAL EXPLANATION
WHY COULD ANY RACE BE ANY CLASS?
▶Should being human or elf limit you
to being inherently good?
▶Should being undead or infernal
demon limit you to being inherently evil?
▶NO, it shouldn't.
▶The nature of any race contains the
power or ability to be both good and evil. We know this because we are capable
of doing both good and evil.
▶Just like in a fantasy world, light
is found throughout the universe, in everything and every being, just like the
void, the anti-light, the darkness, or whatever you want to call it. Both are
found everywhere, to a lesser or greater extent.
WHAT
DETERMINES THE PERSONALITY OF ANY CHARACTER OR BEING?
▶What we do would be determined or
motivated by our emotions, past experiences, by social pressure, not just by
the rules of the society where we live.
▶The sociocultural factors imply in
the personality; that is, the environment in which one finds oneself will
positively or negatively affect the individual's personality.
▶For example, poverty influences the
personality of people negatively. Lacking access to education, food, and other
resources, poor people are vulnerable to negative personality traits.
▶Everything that exists around us in
this universe is a mere tool. The moral value given to it depends on how it is
used. A hammer is good if it is used to build a house but it is bad if it is
used to kill someone. What if it was used to kill an enemy? What if it was used
to protect someone?
▶There are times when normal people
give themselves over to good or evil. Times when we are angry, despair, and seek
to destroy ourselves and other people. And times when we go the other way,
behaving nobly and helping other people with no thought of reward. I think of
these downward and upward spirals as being us wallowing in evilness or
goodness, of yielding to our good or evil emotions, but also, it feels like,
being "egged on" from outside forces.
CONCLUSION
▶Any being, no matter what race it
is, is susceptible to greed, anger, hatred, sadness, gluttony of knowledge,
etc, etc, etc.
▶Scars of Honor societies should not
be perfect, Elves, Humans, Dwarves and Bearan will not have a utopia, it is
impossible even in times of peace, there are always different social classes,
economic factors, and in times of war against "Domination" a utopia
where there are no evil people and everyone follows the laws of The Sacred
Order to the letter apart from those imposed within their own race is much less
likely.
▶Desperate times call for desperate
measures. Do rage-ridden Elves and Humans see it wrong to use the dead bodies
of the Domination races against them? It depends, everything is relative and
depends on each individual. Violence is a constitutive part of the nature of
any race, essential to defend ourselves and continue living.
▶That said, choosing as playable race
Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Bearan, “the good ones”, “The Sacred Order” or
“Domination, the bad ones” should not limit the class we can choose.
▶If being a Necromancer or Witch is a
crime for Elves and/or Humans, or "doesn't fit the stereotype",
because your God commands you to, or whatever, good for me, punish me if I use
my Necromantic or Witch skills in public , make guards attack me, put a bounty
on my head, make other players hunt me, punish my crimes, but don't deny us the
opportunity to be an Elf Necromancer, or any other race.
