The class discussions were a big success, we gather so many good ideas on how to make them as good as possible. And because of that, we decided to start a similar discussion about the Races.
It will go in the same style - 5 race-specific questions every week.
Let's start off with the Human Race, and the first question Racial Abilities.
Which are the most suitable racial abilities for the Human Race? We ask for Passive and Active skills.
Should they have profession bonuses? Armor and Defence boost? Should they have a special utility skill?
I would like to see more utility abilities for races instead of the common "increased Magical damage/physical damage", that would prevent everyone from picking just 1 race for DD and 1 race for Tank.
And this abilities tied to different dungeon mechanics, so in dungeons you can make different forms to reach a location and depending on the race you are playing you will need to do a different thing, that would be very interesting, just like GW2 mount system but for races.Last edited: 2022-04-11 14:25:40
Wraith of the Gods- PvE Passive: Emboldened by their faith, humans deal 1/2% (1.5%?) more holy damage against nonplayer enemies
Human Spirit - More PvP focused Passive: humans have an extra 3% chance to resist cc. Adjust as needed.
Final Stand PvP/PvE - Active: Usable only at 15% HP, humans brace for one last stand and are immune to all damage for 2 seconds, healing back 8% of total HP.
Racial abilities are a reflection of lore because of the history of that race and
the remarkable peoples that express their skill or talent for something
over multiple generations.
Every MMORPG have reputation systems. Humans, who created the Sacred Order would have decent bonuses on these reputation systems. As the Children of the Gods they could also have a passive boost to healing and other health point regeneration abilities that are placed on or given by a human character - such as eating food, healing spells, patching someone else up and feeding pets. This would suit priest healing, paladin healing, paladin tanking and warrior tanking.
Scars of Honor could also add a unique twist to the genre by tying racial active abilities with the current class. This would add a little more complexity and add more differentiation in the same class by selecting a different race. Where the same class has 1 active ability based on which race was selected.
For humans only I am thinking these active abilities are:
Warrior: Cleanses health debuffs and decreases current cooldowns on survival/tanking abilities.
Paladin: Provide the Paladin and allies a shield blocking some amount of damage to HP.
Mage: Increased mana/resource regeneration and boosts shield amounts.
Priest: Increases healing and shielding provided by the Priest.
Pirate: Increased mana/resource regeneration.
Necromancer: Summons and pets will have massive health regeneration.
These are just rough ideas tying what the class could do and what the race is known for which is life and living. In most of these cases it involves protecting or regeneration HP. For the Mage and Pirate it reduces the stress of resource management since these would probably be considered DPS characters.

Here I bring another mix of ideas I think could match the HUMANS

▶In the name of God: 5-10% XP from killing UNDEAD race and CURSED creatures like ghosts, werewolves and vampires. (PvE and PvP)
▶Hand crafted skin: 10-15% more Cloth materials gathered.
🞮 Explanation for this passive: Did you know, we are the only species on earth that does not have enough natural protection on our bodies, to shelter us from the elements. All other animals (races) have hair, foot pads, claws, beaks … to name a few. Us poor, delicate humans have naked skin, yes of course with a touch of hair, but our need to wear clothes to protect us from the cold, the sun and the wind makes us innately human. This is something I have read from several articles that list what are the things that makes us Humans, and almost all are agree with these, so I am. 🞮
▶Favored by God: 5-10% HOLY damage resistance OR PSYCHIC damage resistance. As I said we humans have DELICATE BODIES, but strong spirit.

▶Will for life: Instant HEAL for 11% of your max health and another 22% for 10 seconds, you also regenerate 33% of your main resource over 10 seconds.
= = = RACIAL WORLD MECHANIC = = =
▶Keen eye: Humans can detect HIDDEN buttons and pulls that open HIDDEN DOORS, they are the ONLY ONES that can INTERACT with those objects. Already explained this on past posts.Last edited: 2022-05-08 03:18:52

I think races should have 3 to 4 racial abilities. One passive, one active, one for crafting or gathering and maybe a utility racial ability. I think passive abilities should be against one race only, as is shown in the linked post. And active racial abilities should be CC Breaks, soft CCs or hard CC but with low durability. And the Utility ability as simple as a teleport to his/her racial city.Last edited: 2022-06-02 20:38:26
KEEN EYE Human Racial Mechanic
= = = DUNGEON & RAID = = =
The team found the dungeon entrance, a BIG HEAVY DOOR with Boss HP and resistances.
The DWARF locates an small underground tunnel that leads to the other side, too small and dangerous for the other members and uses his unique racial skill UNDERGROUND EXPLORER to reach the other side and opens the door from inside.
Along the dungeon the human used his KEEN EYE racial skill and found a secret corridor that lead to a laboratory with some potions (usable as projectiles) and some information on how to counter the INVULNERABILITY skill of the last boss.
Without a DWARF and a HUMAN the dungeon would have taken more time and it would be a bit more difficult to complete.

Your team died, and the enemy team is full of Orcs, you use KEEN EYE to locate and open a secret room where you hide yourself until your team revive.
= = = OPEN WORLD = = =
You BEARAN and your friend HUMAN are questing together, your friend uses the KEEN EYE skill and finds a small room, you both are allowed to enter that room because you are in the same team, and find a map that activates a treasure hunting quests that leads to a chest with a cool weapon and tons of gold.
