I have an idea, in scare of honor i think it's a good thing if we can fight in mount.
You can enter combat with mount but only can do some skills. Can be cool. Even your time mounted can be capped to a number of hits recibed until dismounted
How about some sports game? With it own teams, leagues, rewards.
Some dodgeball or football
It would be great to have mini-games in the taverns, sounds silly doesn't it? But imagine that guild that has to prepare their raid instead of being bored in their respective cities, they go to the nearest tavern and spend their time there with some minigame (Blackjack/tic tac toe/drink game).
The taverns are always underused and it's a shame as it really enhances the RPG element (remember it's an MMORPG). I don't know if here you will do like in wow classic, that factions don't understand each other, please, put commands like /chicken /spit and those that generate hatred between factions.
Also it would be GREAT if there were hidden quests, I don't know if you know it, but in wow classic there is a quest, where in the human zone of level10 (after hogger) there is a chicken. If you make a macro and you put /chicken all the time in front of it, a new quest exclamation will appear and it will ask you for a sack of feed, which has a farmer (it costs 10 copper), you give it to him and when you complete the quest, the chicken becomes your pet and from then on you can summon it and go everywhere with your chicken.
These are the things that make videogames magical, the secrets, the mysteries, the discoveries, and the going off the beaten track.
It would also be nice, missions to explore x place and that is with complicated jumps or use x skills to make your way.
You can do a lot of things!
▶I fucking loved that idea, sorry, seriously, and it’s true.
▶Sorry if I’m resurrecting a dead thread.
▶Taverns aren’t crowded places, there are only NPCs, and it kills that feeling of an RPG.
▶So I really think it must be done, it can be a unique distinguish trait for Scars of Honor.
▶In RDR 1 and 2, TW 2 and 3, AC 3 and 4, taverns really feel alive with those few mini-games, and they are solo games, I spent a lot of time there.
▶TESO already started doing it on this year’s expansion, adding a card mini-game.
▶Someone create a mod like this for Skyrim, and it was really fun.
▶I hope devs and other players watch this and comment their thoughts.
Making taverns iconic again
▶Board easy and quick Mini-games for taverns with PvE and PvP. This will give a nice use to a lot of NPCs.
▶You can make tavern games a way to level up “Luck” in the game, “Luck” can affect gold found, drop rates, apart from other RNG aspects.
▶Strength can affect Arm-Wrestling and Fist Fights games
▶Dexterity/Agility can affect games like Darts and Knife Games
▶Intelligence can influence games like Black Jack, Battleship and Tic Tac Toe.
▶Board games can get their own talent tree. Actually, I would prefer a “talent system” like Lost Ark and TESO, account wide, and not only for combat.
▶Maybe making these talents only available for PvE.
▶We can get skins for the different boards, cards and pieces, you can monetize some of them since they are going to be only cosmetics.
▶Casual and Competitive modes, leaderboards, mini tournaments 1vs1, 2vs2, up to even 4vs4 modes. PvE and PvP
▶TW 2 and 3, RDR 1 and 2, AC 3 and 4 had PvE tournaments quests, they were of my favorite parts of the game.
Tavern games suggestions
You can include some of these or all of these
▶Blackjack, Tic Tac Toe, Fingers Knife game, Dominoes, Checkers, Dart’s game, Classic Chess, Critter race, drinking games, Battleship
▶The Witcher 2 Fist fights
If you want to make it more “turn combat” maybe a rock paper scissors system, players can choose between grab, punch, kick, block, dodge, up, left, etc., with cooldowns, idk.
▶The Witcher 2 Arm-Wrestling (not mindless button smashing)
▶Assassins Creed 3 mini-games, I loved them
▶AC3 Bowls game
▶Pirates of the Caribbean Liar’s Dice
▶Red Dead Redemption 1 Liar’s Dice
▶How to play Liar’s Dice (sorry, one of my favorites)
▶Card race drinking game
▶Classic Gwent, The Witcher 3
▶Auto-Chess Mobile (DoTA 2), Team-Fight Tactics (Riot) (not very conviced about this one)
Hello everybody,
As you know we at Scars of Honor want to deliver a different game experience than the one you are used to. So once again we are giving the community an opportunity to mold the game with their ideas.
We are asking you what game mechanics you want to see in the game and you have always wanted to see in a MMORPG game. What ever you think of , think out of the box, do not limit your imagination.
Maybe you want your hero to pick up a chicken and throw it to the opponent , why not. You want to slice a tree or maybe to pick up a rock , everything is possible. Think of everything , character movement and gestures , interacting with the environment , maybe a game of tic-tac-toe go for it.
Every suggestion is highly appreciated.
Yours truly,
Yulian Mihaylov
Hi , thank you for this opportunity.
I myself think adding out of the box ideas is highly appreciated by the whole community. The following are some of the ideas I would prefer:
1-Starting status, as I think starting as a child or from a young age and progressivly aging is fairly important to break the cycle of the repetitive things in MMORPG games(also getting more respect and reverence as you age would be cool). Now I know I know it is difficult to do that as developers and artists but that is how it is. Also adding parents would be nice ;) . I am certain this will open alot of possibilities for your game.
2-Having ranks amongst you race and others for instance, giving players a chance to be THE demon king if they are of the infernal demon race or being a chieftain if you are an orc.also ranks should be real , I mean you get content for them not just a colored [rank] beside your name , like if you rise high enough you may enter the council of Domination/sacred order and contribute to making decision that affect the entire world (If that sounds silly then OK I'm not an expert in game development I know devs know better , also although I believe player must contribute to making decisions about the game I also believe the devs must have the choice because they know better regarding development and balance)
3-Also I think if you are like.. a dwarf you can make stuff...stuff other races can't make but at the same time other races have the ability to make an order for you to craft it for them in your workshop or something..that would add to the importance of the dwarves as a race.
4-An Underground world how cool would that be!! Selling illegal stuff , witchcraft for demons like a black market with other stuff like a secret assassination organization you can join for assasins and ranks for that too.
5-Hidden quests and storyline if possible (although I think you are already working on that ;) )
6- getting sick (diseases) of course if possible for the developers and they see fit. I imaging getting sick would also imply plagues infesting certain cities at certain times.
7-This is not exactly a new idea or out of the box but I would really like to see books that contain anything from a secret recipe to learning a new skill but would like the recipe to stay in the book not to get in your crafting menu as you "consume" the book
8- Literally "scars of honor"
9-It would be super cool if new technologies get discovered in the world as the game ages, nothing serious like guns and stuff, just medieval technology type of technology that will be added during updates.
10-If someone kill a lot of a certain race it will have effects like the leader of that race puts a bounty on their head or something I mean players from that race can advance in ranks rapidly if they do that favor for the leader (of course if you add ranks)
11- I'm sure you have this in mind but just to make sure... Large scale wars.
12-Some land should be labeled undiscovered and players can discover them I mean globally with heavy obstacles like armies blocking them or a large ocean. But of course if they get discovered too quickly that would be pointless
13- Also the world should feel dynamic. The leaders are taking action the cities get destroyed and races move(like in the lore) But sure that would be difficult to do in the real game so it's just a suggestion
14-And finally , thank you for reading through all that nonsense I wrote and I really hope it helps

If you truly want to create a unique game experience...don't ask the community what they want. They really don't know.
1. Be the company that creates the LORE, that creates the NPCS, that create a WORLD...and fill it with wonder for the players to discover. Almost everything after will fall in place with talented programmers and artists. A dull, bland game world with no story and nothing to discover WILL fail.
2. Be unique and update some old game systems with some creativity. So much in the MMO genre is stuck in the early 2000's.
3. Every aspect of your game should be community focused and work towards player interaction...both positive and negative. Negative interaction isn't "toxicity" it's gameplay and breathes life into your world.
Have a vision. Follow that vision. If you let the masses direct you...the game will fail.

We are constantly discussing different topics with the community.
The idea of that is to gather all options and to sift the really good ones. We have a vision for our game, you can be sure of that.
The Lore is currently being worked on by our Writer, and is being expanded as we speak.
We are well aware that it is not possible to make a game where 100% of the gamers will love, but we want to have a clear vision of what most of the players like and don't like.
Another thing that we do is to research other games and see what people loved and hated in their gameplay, of course we will try to update old mechanics as much as possible, because we want to make a game with old-school experience, but after all we are in the year 2022.
One thing is certain, the game will be heavily focused around the player interactions and social aspects.
The game mechanics should be simple, as much i expirienced youre in the right path for now. I more worrying how you guys gonna balance the game dificulty as lvl-ing and gearing. If its too izi the game will be full with kids and if too hard most of the players will be grown people. I personaly don't like to see evry person who runs a dungeon gets the same items as me i like to feel like my hardship was more worth than the other person ones. Ofcourse there is luck too sometimes dosn't matter how much you try you can be unlucky too.
