Addons should only be needed if the functions aren't added by the devs, proper inclusion from the devs of a simple clean UI and tons of options to edit it, clean dps meter/parsing, different options for controls.(cast aoe abilities on button release/on press, option to heal/buff/damage targets by hovering over the party/raidframe/unit with option to choose default target if not hovering over someone) )
downside of allowing anyone being able to create addons is alot of stuff going too far e.g: addon telling you what monster to burst first in mechanic where one needs to be killed first and without the addon the visual indicator would require someone to call it in voice/text. If too much manual calculations/timings are automated it makes the dungeons/ raids REQUIRE the addons and makes the encounters easier than intended.
I think allowing custom UI addons should be fine though aslong as it shows same elements that are visible in default UI layout but anything more than UI tuning should be avoided unless added by the developers themselves.
Please don't add addons!! :^(
I am looking for an adventure that surprises me at every step I take, but if an addon is going to warn me of "'Be careful around the corner, there is an enemy!" So would it really be worth playing?
I like the exciting feeling of surviving and learning as I go through my adventure, it really bothers me that other players don't accept me for not having addons.

probably there will be a on/off button to turn on the add-ons

That could probably divide the community, I know more mmorpg where people can kick you out of the raid or dungeon for not having the addon they want we to use.
I think that people should not be forced to have addons, and it would be easier if there are no addons.
Happiness does not consist in realizing our ideals, but in idealizing what we do.

yeah but you know, those add-ons for help, are more for tryhard raids, and we still don't know how all will work

I do not see them wrong in case the boss is a challenge this will be a very important tool to achieve the goal of killing the boss.
For this Dev Discussion, we want your opinions on the Third Party Add-ons.
Are they a must-have? Do you think they can cause breaches in security?
What about if we implement all the necessary things directly in your UI,
like Damage/Heal Counter, one or many bags, gathering tools, all of them?
As always we can't wait to receive your feedback on these important topics!
Buenas Desarrolladores,

The moment in which in a raid they force you to wear an addon, because if you can't go with them, everything has already gone to shit ...
For all those who say that carrying the addon to know what the boss does is necessary etc etc, you have to know that the first people who completed that raid when it came out (I will not name the game because we all know what we are talking about, but Yes, to knock down that lava giant or the dragon on duty) they did it without addons and with their own effort and organization, the issue of addons came up later because people want to go faster and get everything sooner without costing much effort. I really would like to go back to the beginning, to gather a group of people to get to know each other and spend one night trying to shoot a fucking boss even if you don't get it the first week, but keep trying with those people and through the effort and cooperation of all When you finally manage to throw it away, because you will throw it away even if it takes you weeks, you will throw it away, when that moment finally arrives, the satisfaction is a million times greater than arriving the first day with people you hardly know and following the instructions that the bot sends you. Throw it at the first turn, which is very good, you have taken the loot on your turn, but you have lost all the experience in my opinion ...
All the best

I have been a mmorpg player for years, and I have played mmo where there were no addons of that type and the community has always managed to meet the objectives of killing the boss. I see it so irrelevant! What will happen when the addon stops working due to any problem? People dependent on that addon won't know how to play, and people who never use it won't even notice the difference.
