I must say, the "master bone carvers" idea is pretty cool indeed.
And yeah it's hard to change how the Orcs are shown everywhere, destruction, flora and fauna completely inexistant, etc.
Bonecrafting could be a sub-profession of the Jewelcrafting that Orcs gain bonus exp for example š¤
Thank you! Actually I was thinking about Bone carving being a similar to jewelry crafting but different profession.
Jewelcrafting makes earrings, rings, necklaces, etc, all for the body.
Bone carving can make some "amulets/adornments" that can be equiped on weapons and/or armors to increase the stats, resources or add a different effect.
That way bones can be a resource also instead of junk for selling. Bone as resource can benefit Housing, Alchemy and even Enchanting I think
But the combat system should be finished first I think.
And about Orcs, you already gave the Orcs a different image with the soil birthing festivities, showing they respect nature, they just play in the Law of the Jungle, kill or be killed by the environment rich in natural resources but with lot of dangers.
Orcs can live in a high reward-high risk environment. Think of them like surviving in Ark Survival Evolved, the more danger the best and more resources you get from the dinosaurs and nodes.
That hard environment makes them strong, only the strongest survive, that's why Orcs are feared. And that's why they have high natality.
High natality isn't the same that high population, as I said, only the strongest survive.
