I would like several things but I think the most interesting would be for cities to have a real stock of products, food, materials ...
These products would come every X time in wagon mode along the roads of the game and when arriving in the city the product would be added. What use would this have?
Imagine a city siege from another faction, imagine the defending team trying to defend the city and running out of resources to create potions or other things because the other team is destroying their acquisition sources.
It would be necessary to try to escort those wagons that could only be destroyed on certain maps or in certain circumstances (Under attack on the city) so that they were not always out of supply by trolling players.
He had also thought of a system in which players could manage cities through political positions, thus having to redirect money towards defenses, trade, expand attack units ... Giving it a more RPG touch, the position could be of the guild leader who at that time it has the advantage over the other guilds in that area.
Imagine an attacking faction that could plant a real camp at the city gates and that these gates can be closed to try to maintain the attack while reinforcements come from other cities, at the same time food and resources are running out while from outside pressure is applied and the city leader has decided not to invest money in palisades.
Call me crazy if you want, but I love these things.
This sounds very good indeed, while I was reading it, I imagined the battle at "Helm's deep" from LOTR, and scenes from the Vikings tv series.
My only concern is, that in GW2 you have WvW and there you have these kinds of sieges, but no one is doing them properly, and it is a cool feature, but stays unplayable.
