Let's get those precious minds to work and shape the best possible concepts for the classes.
So how will this work? We will ask you 5 questions (a question every day) about the class of the week. All your answers will be gathered and then evolved if needed, to create the best, and most fun to play class.
So since the test has come to end, we can now continue to work with the classes.
This week the Ranger is on the table, and we start with the Armor.
Leather - for sure! What about a Heavy armor Ranger? Light armor, for quickness and faster attacks?
Let's see what you have on your mind!
I will keep with the idea that skills are what define a class not the armor they use, so I will keep with the idea of allowing all classes to use all armor types, maybe giving each type of armor their unique stats or passive skills? Obviously we need to know a bit more about game mechanics so it can be fitted and balanced

The class needs to be well described so...
What is a ranger? For me a Ranger is a fighter/soldier⚔️🏹🛡️ with a Nature affinity (they should be able to use some nature basic spells)🌲 specialized in watching, protecting and preserving territories,🛡️ hunting, tracking, surviving and speedy exploration 🏃♂️without being detected.
Taking this class description and FIGHTER (not an archer🏹) WITH NATURE AFFINITY🌲 (not just forest, ALL NATURE) as key words I would suggest say YES to your suggestion of heavy and light armored Rangers also.
Light armored (Robes aren't the only light clothes): For maximum 🏃♂️speed at casting, moving and attacking (of course, the less you are wearing the faster you are) and also for good stealth. Bonus to ranged attacks?
Medium/leather armored: Bit more protection, better stealth, but slower than light armor, balance between ranged and melee attacks? ⚔️⚖️🏹Good for hunting (chasing) and tracking (if you hunt you know you will have to fight if you found your prey) good in open zones🧗🏻♂️
Medium/Mail armored: More protection, less speed, less stealth, bonus to melee damage? ⚒️(There is more mass behind your melee attacks) Good to protect and Fighting in small zones with some traps🐾
Heavy Plate armored: Lot more protected Rangers at with more melee bonus at the cost of speed and energy/resource spent on every attack. Experts at defending zones with traps and some nature spells (defensive damage) 🛡️🌲💪🏻
Greetings
Leather for ranged style and chainmail for melee.
See you ;)
Surely you must have light armor that allows you to be agile and also fragile if you can't abuse the distance
-EN ESPAÑOL-
Un Arquero/Ranger suele estar centrado al DPS, así que debería tener una armadura liviana para ser tener mas movilidad y rapidez.
-IN ENGLISH-
An Ranger is usually focused to the DPS, so you should have a light armor to be more mobile and fast.
It would be a cool idea, if your abilities as a ranger for example changes a bit with different armor type
But not like completely just a little extra for each one
