Today ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Samrack, Mr. Karmiel and Mr. Venteps, we bring you a joint idea about the same weapons of our beloved Scars of Honors.
Everyone remember wow artifact weapons? Or those who have played FFXIV, remember the weapons by class? Or perhaps the simple weapon and class system of Albion online?
Well, our idea as a group is based on the combination of these systems, this time much more rooted in specializations than in classes.
This idea arose from a discussion we had about the Bard in the beloved Discord of this game "I invite you to join if you are not already" and we thought: "It would not be a good idea that instead of designing your own weapons, weapons such as bows, swords, shields, etc. Did they adorn themselves with magic or other items depending on the specialization given? “
An example of this is the beloved bard we are talking about, the bard being a possible spec of the same Ranger, he would start with a bow like any other, but when it comes time to choose specialization, this same bow is seen adorned with magic strings.
The necromancer the same, his main weapon can be either a weapon or a cane which has a magic edge making it complete forming a sickle.
Another and last example would be the simple and beloved botafumeiro (Censer) for the Priest, a weapon that would essentially be an offhand item which would adorn a book, it would grow to make it giant.
It would be simple in turn and would save the unnecessary creation of weapons per spec.

Hoy damas y caballeros los señores Samrack , Karmiel y Venteps les traemos una idea en conjunto sobre las mismas armas de nuestro querido Scars of Honors. ¿Todos recuerdan las armas artefacto del wow? ¿O quienes hayan jugado FFXIV , se acuerdan de las armas por clase? ¿O quizás el sistema simple de armas y clases de Albion online?. Pues bien nuestra idea en conjunto parte de la combinación de estos sistemas , esta vez mucho más arraigadas a las especializaciones que a las clases. Esta idea surgió a partir de una discusión que tuvimos sobre el Bardo en el querido Discord de este juego “Los invito a unirse si aún no lo están” y pensamos: “No sería buena idea que en vez de diseñar armas propias , las armas como arcos , espadas , escudos, etc. ¿Se adornasen con magia u otros elementos dependiendo de la especialización dada? “ Un ejemplo de esto es el querido bardo del que hablamos , el bardo al ser una posible spec del mismo Ranger , este partiría con un arco como cualquiera , pero en el momento en el que llega la hora de elegir especialización , este mismo arco se ve adornado con cuerdas mágicas. El nigromante lo mismo , su arma principal se puede tratar de o bien un arma de hasta o un bastón el cual le salga un filo de magia haciendo que se completase formando una hoz. Otro y último ejemplo seria el simple y querido botafumeiro para el Sacerdote un arma que en esencia sería un ítem offhand el cual adornaría un libro , este crecería hasta hacerlo gigante. Seria sencillo a su vez y ahorraría la creación innecesaria de armas por spec. Cuál es su opinión señores y señoras? Esperamos ver sus comentarios.

En verdad me gusta más la idea de que cada spec tenga su propia arma o combinacion de armas, por los transmog y porque me parece que simplificaría más el juego.

Actually I prefer that every spec has his own weapon or combination of weapons, because of transmog and I think it will simplify more the game.

Actually I prefer that every spec has his own weapon or combination of weapons, because of transmog and I think it will simplify more the game.
Not really, the idea is that these were more like a mesh on top of these weapons.
Besides the fact that there are more weapons is the opposite of simple, it makes the selection of equipment more complicated.
What this does is that the equipment you use is simply enchanced, as we mentioned both a polearm or a spear could be transformed into a scythe.
The same with other weapons with transmog, the only thing that was open to change would be the top mesh for another color.
Or you can easily make the mesh that turns the object into something customizable

La idea de la propuesta es que puedas identificar la especialidad del personaje solo con verlo

sería más dificil porque las armas estan cumpliendo muchos roles, entonces un Arco con caracteristicas de arpa usaría transmog de arco y basicamente el bardo estaria tocando musica con un arco.

But that wouldn't be similar as crafting different type of weapons. I don't know if I understand it correctly, what I understand is that you take a bow from a raid and through an enchantment you transform it into an harp with special characteristics (in case of a bard).
I think now I understand it, the other problem with that is that the loot dropped by the boss will be usable for most of the classes so basically at all loot drops everybody will chose Need at the dice rolling. Because you are trying to reduce the amount of type of weapons through this system, and people will have to search weapons by their stats instead of by type.

So instead of creating very complex new weapons, the only thing they have to do is a minimal decoration that accompanies this magic mesh.

Apart from all this I do not understand why you are talking about the stats , if this is due to transmog, there is no problem because you can literally change everything in transmog zone.
What I mean, while talking about the stats, is that reducing the amount of type of weapons will reduce weapon type limitation per class while looting, so at raids every peace of loot will be usable for more classes or people. So if there are less types of weapon classes will have to search weapons by stats instead of by type.
You said that bard instead of having his own type of weapon (instrument) will use a bow with a esthetical change, so bard will have to loot bows instead of instrument. If you plan to do this with a lot of type of weapons that means, for example, there will not be dagger in the game because classes with dagger will loot swords with an esthetical change to dagger. Other example is that voodoo dolls for witch will not exist in the game and instead will have to loot a rune that esthetically will change into a voodoo doll, and that rune will be looted by every caster that will transform that rune esthetically into an exclusive class item. If you do this every melee class will loot only swords, caster will loot only runes and rangers will loot only bows, because instead of having their own type of weapon they will share types of weapons but with an esthetical class exclusive change.
