In english:
I like the idea of a cursed pirate for robing a treasure enchanted by old civilizations, an hybrid pirate between physical and magical damage. I really like the idea but I don't know how to differentiate it with other classes. It seemed very inspired by the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, even to unlock this spec maybe you should do a quest stealing an enchanted treasure.
The "cursed pirate" specialisation could be founded in some kind of passive skills or buffs/debufs that transform your pirate into a Bootstrap Bill or something alike.
Someone wrote about a cursed pirate, and I think that this would be great if you apply it to the beginning class, like "Pirates are thief's, etc, and they are chosen by the "Evil God of sea" to be gifted with Sea Magic to be the best pirates in exchange of their souls, so a cursed Pirate that can use magic and weapons fits better in a fantasy world like Aragon, I mean yeah normal pirates can exist in Aragon, but the class "Cursed Pirate" fits better with the game because it has more room for different skills IMHO:
As I have been writing, all classes should have at least 1 way to tank, to support, to magic DPS and to physical DPS.
So how would "Cursed Pirate"...
-Tank? Sea Magic! Water shields, and what about an armor made of all the gold they have stole, maybe an armor buff made of deep sea coral? Summoning wrecked ships rest to create a barricade that CCs the enemy? Ghost form to evade physical damage? Skeleton form to mitigate elemental damage? Anchors to chain enemies, KRAKEN FORM to tank all the damage!
-Heal? HEALING OCEAN, Mermaid/Triton pet to heal and buff allies with songs, Sea Magic, Healing Oceans, AoE heal, Healing wave with soft CC as an AoE Heal, Cursed healing, Cursing your teammates for some moments so they can heal as ghosts or skeletons, PIRATE SONGS to buff your allies.
-Magic DPS? CURSED MAGIC, GHOST FORM, life steal, movement speed, cursing enemies, morphing enemies into fish, sea magic, sea storms, water tornados or siphons, water whip, enchanted floating weapons.
-Physical DPS, POWDER! FISH MEN FORM, Opening Portals to let the cannonballs from the CursedShip hit their enemies, 1 canon shoot, powder barrels, Ghosts ships wrecking at enemies location, multiple cannonballs rain.
I would definitly play the pirat class if it gets a Tank specc with swinging an anchor as weapon....that would be new to me in mmorpg and i love pirates...and playing as tank...that would be awsome.....i mean..RLLY AWSOME
if its added to 100% i buy a founderspack
Last editted: 2022-03-17 11:42:07Just don't make a hybrid class, because they tend to be bad in both ranged and melee aspects.
Melee Specc: Duelist
A strong singletarget build especially designed for raids. You fight with a rapier. Many quick stabs and cuts that also cause bleeding damage. With the CD ''Pirate Codex'' all abilities are boosted by 45% for 15 seconds and the dots reach maximum damage faster.
Melee Specc: Against the Law
An outlaw pirate who fights with both sabres. This Specc is suitable to get the best possible AoE damage out of it. With both sabres he cuts his opponents to pieces. A solid option in singletarget but best suited for AoE.
Mid-Range Specc: Explosive Expert
This pirate holds a grenade in each hand. With the grenades a bar is built up that allows the use of stronger and stronger abilities, such as: cannon fire, scatter fire, pistol racing, bombs, larger grenades that leave burning surfaces, etc.
Range Specc: Shot Master
These pirates focus on ranged combat. They prefer to fire with a musket or two pistols. With the musket, they can land devastating hits, and with the two pistols they can inflict serious damage on several enemies at once.
Legacy Specc/Champion Specc: Curse of the Past
This specc allows the pirates to interact with the spirit world and summon powerful allies. The pirates switch to the spirit world and perceive the world differently (bluish/green). The pirates summon bony and undead ancient pirates to help them fight. The player also changes into an undead pirate and has ghost spells at his disposal. This spec can be used with any of the above skills.
