Marvelous Community,
as you know it is very important for us to receive your valuable feedback on various topics.
For this Dev Discussion, we are curious to know your opinion on "Quest Clues"
Do you like to be guided from the start of the quest to the zone and the exact mob/item you have to take/kill? Maybe you need just a little hint on where that mob/item might be? Or you like to have to read between the lines and use your logic in order to complete the quest?
Don't hesitate to write your ideas and suggestions below so that we can make the best possible experience for all of you.
Personally, I prefer a balanced approach to quest clues. I don’t like to be spoon-fed with every detail of the quest, but I also don’t want to spend hours wandering around aimlessly. I think a good quest clue should give me a general direction, but not the exact location or the name of the mob/item. For example, instead of saying “Go to the Dark Forest and kill the Shadow Wolf to get the Moon Fang”, the quest clue could say something like “The Moon Fang is a rare item that can only be obtained from a creature that lurks in the shadows of a forest. Find this creature and slay it to claim your prize.” This way, I still have some challenge and exploration, but I also have a clue to guide me.
I think this approach would make the quests more engaging and rewarding, as well as more immersive and realistic. I think it would also encourage more cooperation and communication among players, as they could share tips and hints with each other. I think this would enhance the social aspect of the game and the sense of community.
Of course, this is just my opinion and I respect that other players may have different preferences. I hope that the developers will consider the feedback from the community and find a way to accommodate different play styles and expectations.
