The September Live Development Update was an absolute blast!

Our team couldn't resist revealing a wealth of new information and giving everyone a behind-the-scenes sneak peek.

This was also the first time we let the team stream remotely, outside of the Beast Burst Dungeon ;) This change will allow us to bring in more of the Beast Burst crew for you to meet.

Next Official Test Phase

Another major announcement from the team was the official dates for our next testing phase.

The test will run from October 26th to November 1st, 2024.

We’ll share more details about what to expect during this phase in our next Live Development Update, which will focus on the October test.

Art Update

The Undead

After the announcements, we dove into the juiciest part of the stream, starting with new details about the Undead.

This latest concept art showcases the Undead’s appreciation for beauty, even though their bodies can no longer reflect that. Instead, they express it through their clothing and prosthetics. This concept depicts the noblewomen NPCs found in Veltharas.

With our revamped character system, players will soon be able to wear attire similar to what’s shown.

Many of you were curious about what the Undead architecture would look like, so we also revealed some Undead architecture, starting with the Undead Inn.

As you can see, their structures are grand and spacious, with large terraces overlooking the streets of Veltharas.

Though the Undead are culturally refined, they’re also highly industrial. It’s common to see steam pipes, valves, and moving parts throughout their cities.

These elements are all created in their industrial hubs, the Undead Forges.

We also shared an incredible illustration of one of Irongarth’s hotspots, where both factions will battle for control of the area.

While we’d love to share the name of this location, our Glorious Leader has kept it under wraps for now—stay tuned for more in our next stream!

Despite some resemblances to our office, this next concept art reveals a glimmer of hope (and a little light).

Jokes aside, it’s actually the concept for another location on Irongarth: Ondal’s Fall.

Once a lush land with a port and thriving city, it’s now a swamp, full of death and somber memories.

To wrap up the art update, the team revealed concepts for the Undead Siege Weapons.

To compensate for their smaller numbers and lack of faith compared to the Humans, the Undead rely heavily on technology, utilizing more advanced weaponry.

While other races use massive ballistae and battering rams, the Undead employ gunpowder, including a triple-barreled gunpowder cannon. How long do you think a wall or gate will last under that kind of firepower?

Gameplay

At this point, Greta, Venelin, and Francesco brought the livestream straight into the game.

They started with a look at the revamped character selection and creation screens for the Humans and Undead, giving you a first glimpse of how stunning your experience will be from the very start.

Everything has been thoughtfully designed to immerse you in the world of Aragon right from the selection screen.

Venelin and Francesco then transported viewers to Maelyn’s Landing for a tour of key points of interest.

They also showcased a secret location to demonstrate the improved weather system and reveal just how vast the continent is.

As you can see, it’s a massive expanse, and you can explore as far as the eye can see without obstructions or loading screens.

After exploring with torches in hand (yes, it’s dark, and the torches really help light the way), the team ventured into a fascinating cave system filled with stunning environments and points of interest.

The walk-around concluded at a mysterious spot - behind a massive door that may or may not hide something extraordinary.

Francesco is keeping those details securely in his secret spoiler folder.

For those who have been with us from the start, you’re sure to notice the incredible progress since three years ago. And for our new followers, prepare to be amazed by Scars of Honor and what’s still to come.

The livestream wrapped up with a Q&A session, where a large number of questions were answered - not just from our Forums and Live Chat, but from across all our social media channels.

It was truly an adventure, and we can’t wait to show you what’s in store for the October Live Development Update.

For those eager to catch everything firsthand, here’s the full video of the September Live Development Update.

Thank you all from the entire Beast Burst Entertainment team.

See you next time!
