Maybe it would bring new " players " (that I would personnaly just call investors since money would be the goal) but how many would leave the game and how many would be disgusted enough by such practice to not even want to try the game at all ?
Personnally, I play a game to get immersion and rewards only based on my time and skill investment, not at all by money, and sharing a world with players mostly interested by real world money... Honestly that would make the game sad and dusgusting for me.
I think your game have enough of its own WOW inspiration and its own identity as well to become quite popular and cool, that would be sad to throw dirt on such project with this silly real world money goals for players.
