Hallo.
I'm new here. Signed up today and have been looking through your forums throughout the previous week. Awesome project that you are starting here. Always nice to see something new and unique.
I couldn't find a page to post this that I wrote about the spec's for the classes.
My personal experience.
Scars of Honor is not World of Warcraft. Old school style mmorpg this mmo is advertised as. So how does that look like?
Yes, the oldest mmorpg's are WoW, Runescape etc. But this is something new and different. It should be unique, otherwise you don't keep anyone's attention.
What is the specialization model going to look like for each class. Dynamic or Needs FULL Commitment otherwise you are going to have to pay when you are in cities or towns. Will the spec have a tree to improve into, to gain spesific bonuses or spesific skills/spells. Upgrade for 5% crit, after that 10% damage. With that in mind it's going to be exactly like wow.
No, here's a idea. Spell customizing.
"Upgrade to form a dot on spell hit and when the dot is "full", whatever that means, it explodes, stunning all stunnable creatures. Here's one; Your pet enrages gaining 20% attack speed and 10% movement speed when you get hit." What ever, this game should be something different.
Will you be able to change your skills/upgrades/spells with a book before every pve or pvp engagement. That is more of a dynamic style. Something that feels more flexible and not rigid.
To my personal preference.
I experienced an awesome feature on a other specific mmo, it was that when you level as a Warrior on a specific race. And when you get to max level you can redo ON THE SAME character from the starting level but with a different class. Although when you hit max level the second time you can revert between the classes you have capped. Although you are still within the boundaries of your Race. Bit more alt friendly.
Just my opinion, have played alot of RPGs and if you want old school rpg. Go look at the old school rpg's for inspiration and form your own identity. Peace. Good luck, I'll be watching. I'm rooting for this to work.
