Well, again I will say I can agree to most things mentioned
STRENGTHS:
*Not just a beast*
Your "regular" bears are already a force to be
reckoned with. They can track things from miles away (have more than 6 times
more powerful sense of smell than a bloodhound), are extremely agile for their
size, and can tear down basically anything that stands in their way. And then
there are Bearans who are all of above but also sapient, have been trained to
use equipment and lived their lives always ready for battle.
*Natural prowess*
Bearan live with nature their entire lives and from the
young age learn to survive on their own. They learn to hunt, forage and
estimate danger since they were cubs. They are much more self sufficient than
other races and can easily live on their own, alone, if they wish (but most
tend to keep close to family or clan even after the trials).
*Resolute*
Bearan may not face all their problems head on, though that
may happen more often than not, but they certainly are unique at one thing.
Once a Bearan sets their mind to something, they will stop
at nothing to achieve it. That may be perhaps due to a way they are raised, their
harsh environment or just because they seek to prove themselves. They enjoy and
love taking on new challenges and they will ALWAYS do everything in their power
to acomplish them, especially if the deed itself is related to their honor/beliefs.
MIXED
*Unstoppable wrath*
When pushed to the limit (usually out of anger or
desperation), especially in defense of nature or their allies/families, Bearan
can draw on their inner rage pushing themselves for a time.
While in this state Bearan exert themselves to the limit,
becoming larger, nearly unstoppable and extremely hard to kill. However as this
state ends, it leaves them vulnerable/exhausted for a time as well, making it a
double edge sword. (This was my idea that could perhaps be adapted for a
racial, instead of giving bonuses to damage, being more defensive and immune to
cc for a short time at a cost)
*Curious*
It is a big world and Bearan have mostly kept to themselves
till recently. But they love exploring, finding new places/nature, learning new
things. They like to learn about other races of Aragon, perhaps in order to
better protect nature balance. But this can sometimes lead them into trouble as
well, though unlikely anything they can't handle.
*Loyal and honest*
Bearan earn trust slowly with strangers, they believe a good
ally or a friend is one you know well. However once that trust is earned Bearan
become a valuable and dependable ally. One you don't want to betray.
Bearan also don't lie, but ill cover this more in values and
beliefs.
Bearan are no stranger to working with herbalism,
woodworking, fletching, alchemy and even blacksmithing. But they always relied
more on nature than technology. Gunpowder and other advanced technology is
still a novelty for them, hence they might be awkward when interacting with it.
