My ideas for magical and physical weapons are these: (the % are just random numbers)
1H=1 handed 2H=2 handed
MAGICAL
1H artifacts (wand, book, orb, lamp) each one with his own benefit (spell cost reduction, Magicka/resource regeneration, spell damage, casting time reduction,etc)
2H staff (5% more spell damage)
1H Staff (2.5% more spell damage)
1H Empty hand (25% spell cooldown reduction)
2H empty hands (50% spell cooldown reduction)
PHYSICAL
1H Axe, Sword, mace, dagger, spear(2.5% bleed damage, physical damage, blunt damage, critical damage, physical penetration, respectively)
2H Axe, Sword, Maul, Spear (5% more bleed, physical, blunt damage and physical penetration)
2H Bow, crossbow, rifle (5% attack speed, physical damage, physical penetration)
1H crossbow, pistol (2.5% physical damage, physical penetration)
1H whip (2.5% attack speed)
More or less, so we can have lot of options to build. Maybe all weapons doing the same damage physical or magic damage and adding bleed, blunt, penetration through traits or enchantments so we can have a "modified whip" doing bleed damage, so we are playing the way we want
