Hello everyone!
I was able to test the pre-alpha, so I'm going to comment on certain things that I would like to say.
- The initial area of the "The Domination" faction, I believe, should be darker and not so bright. The vegetation is predominantly violet and "gloomy" colors, but then the sky is super blue. I understand that the sky would affect the entire game, so perhaps you could add fog or something to make it a more somber place. To me, it doesn't make visual sense for a place filled with undead and where war prevails to be so "visually pleasant."
- The character's movement has improved a lot compared to the last alpha, but I still find it very strange. I feel it is not fluid enough. I understand that it is still a work in progress, but this is the feeling I have right now.
- The initial missions are all about crafting, which is tremendously boring. When you start, you're looking forward to testing your abilities. I recommend changing some of the missions to monster killing. For example, have us kill enemies from the other faction and they drop the items we need.
- When you start a new character, it appears with the abilities unequipped, which gives the impression that you don't have abilities, until you realize that you have to use the P key to bring everything out.
- I barely got to test the combat. I attacked a character and my character got completely locked, to the point that I can't even talk to the characters to do my missions. I will now delete the character and create another one.
- I think that having casters stand still while casting is outdated. I recommend allowing the casters be able to cast while moving as it adds more fluidity, obviously, it will go slower than if they weren't casting.
- The server is very laggy, I have 50 latency and I see characters sliding
or teleporting. This could be terrible for combat later on. I also
notice poor performance, I can't get past 30 fps, no matter what graphic
option I choose. I recommend dedicating time to optimization,
otherwise, no matter how interesting it may be, if we can only play at
15 fps when there's PvP, it won't last long.
Even so, the significant improvement compared to the previous pre-alpha
is noticeable, it seems to be going in the right direction. It still has
a long way to go, but at least it's starting to feel a lot like an MMO.
It's gradually getting there.
