We went on a long journey to discuss the Lore of the Races.
Many amazing ideas came up during the journey!
To wrap up the Lore discussions, we will talk about the Lore of the mighty and savage Boargen.
The first topic as tradition dictates is the Environment & Architecture
Slimy swamps and primitive huts? Maybe scrapyards and structures made of that same scrap? Or should they be more advanced?
Now is the time to share your greatest ideas for the Boargen race!
*All discussions are available in the Race specific sub-forums, so don't hesitate to add your ideas!
When I think in boargen, I have images of the greenskin style of warhammer fantasy, With looted stuff everywhere and makeshift structures. Idols and sigils covering some of their buildings
Architecture and environment
ENVIRONMENT
I would
like for Boargen a transition from Marsh for the Boargen starting zone, to a Swamp
for the main zone, and maybe a more fantastic and dense swamp for a secondary
Boargen zone, with almost 0 sunlight. Something like the deep you go in the
swamp, the bigger the trees and creatures, and you will find more swamp water.
Marsh
Less water,
more open areas, less tress but tall vegetation. A nice place for minor towns.
Swamp
More water, less open areas, more trees and higher vegetation. More natural protection for main towns.
Dark Swamp
More water, less sunlight, taller trees and vegetation, too dark and dangerous, with more enemies for a main Boargen city, but maybe for a secondary zone, or maybe to find boargen ruins and discover more from their past.
ARCHITECTURE
When I
think Boargen I also think about a tribal race, but not because they aren’t intelligent,
more because of their natural environment is not friendly with a more detailed architecture.
So, I think
that Boargen architecture should show us that they are a sapient race, they
shouldn’t be too primitive.
Maybe their
architecture should be based on mud, dead and fallen trees, moss, or thatch.
I was thinking that their buildings should have more circular and spherical shape.
