At first, when we hear Undead, we imagine cemeteries, old churches and etc. But what about if they start in some kind of a swampy area? Maybe a sanatorium? Why not a psychiatric asylum of some sort?

The source zone may be in a small town of undead.
This city can be divided into 3 levels,
1st level in the crypt area where the skeletons are.
2nd level an area with houses something like the "undead borgus"
In this area there are some zombies.
3rd level can be the noblest area in the city, where the most powerful undead are.
The initial story might be something like an undead who regains his sanity and has to escape the city of the dead.

I’m trying
to recommend things that make sense (as much as possible) with my past recommendations.
So taking
into account that in past posts I suggested all Undead for all races not just Humans,
and also I suggested that each class should have a different starting zone inside
the starting MAP of the respective race, for Undead I would like to recommend:
▶Depending on the race the Undead are
they should start on the starting zone of the respective race. Orcs, Bearan,
Elfs, etc.
▶I would like to suggest letting us
chose a Backstory for our characters.
▶Taking into account this post (https://www.scarsofhonor.com/community/sharePost/4344 ) where I suggested that Undead can retain the abilities they had before being Cursed or Infected, the backstories for Undead it can go like this:
Already cursed or infected
You already
were a part of the Undead Society and you are part of one of the Class Guilds
(Neutral Guilds) so you would start in the starting point in the Undead
starting area for the respective class you chose. But you have a flashback on
how the first cursed waves were, and you were part of them.
Recently infected and you were just a
normal person.
You were taking
a walk, transporting some goods, or farming were you were attacked by rabid
Undead, you got infected, you fell asleep and sick, then you woke up and a humble
person is helping you to treat the curse. From here you have 2 options.
▶Sacred Order races: You are being chased and now you must run
away if you want to survive, this humble person helps you to escape to find the
Undead from the Domination because he/she have heard they help people like you.
▶Domination: This humble person takes you to the Undead so
they can help you, you have to protect him/her because you got attacked by bandits where you almost reached the Undead.
Recently Infected already having your class
abilities.
You are one
of the living races and you were infected while doing your work as Mage,
Warrior, Druid, etc. We have 1 option for each class depending on if it is a
Sacred Order race or a Domination race.
▶Warriors Guild: You were escorting someone who hired your services,
you were attacked by Evil intelligent Undead, you and others got infected.
▶Assasins Guild: You are on an assassination mission in some
catacombs, you were attacked by rabids Undead that started coming from the
ground just after you assassinated your target.
▶Druids Guild: You were cleansing a disease from some plants
when you were attacked by a group of rabid Undead.
▶Rangers Guild: You were tracking some infected animals, and
you were attacked by a rabid Undead animal while examining an animal corpse.
▶Mages Guild: You were secretly studying an Undead for research
when he got free and attacked you.
▶Witches Guild: You want to capture an Undead for alchemy ingredients,
but you got infected while trying to do it.
▶Necromancers Guild: You captured a person for sacrifice,
but you didn’t know he/she was recently infected and being treated in secret,
and you got infected in the middle of the sacrifice you were performing.
▶Pirates Guild: You were tracking a treasure in some abandoned
cave at night, guess what happened? You and the rest of the crew were possessed
by Undead and all were infected (The other way how the curse can be spread that
I suggested) in this post

▶Paladins and Priests Guild: You were sent to protect a village that
was suffering attacks from Evil Intelligents Undead faction.
Paladins were dealing with the overwhelming army of
Undead and you fell in battle protecting the village, you woke up already
infected.
Priests were treating all the wounded and infected
people and you got bitten when some of the infected ones started going mad.
After the
past points you have 1 option depending on the side of the Undead race you
chose:
▶DOMINATION: You and the others have to escape the danger
first, once you inform about the incident to your Class Guild they help you to
treat the curse to send you to the Guild Hall located at the Undead starting
zone where you can receive a better treatment and training for your new life.
▶SACRED ORDER: You and the others start being chased by the
Sacred Order army and you have to escape, a mysterious person tells you about a
secret boat/plane/car/portal that is leaving to the Domination lands and that
maybe there you can find a cure, you have to find this transport to reach the
Undead starting zone where they can help you.

Como zona inicial podria ser una cripta o cementerio como se menciona en otros posts, también incluiría que la primera cinemática sea que sales de una tumba o algo así, esto ultimo es mas para darle un toque de rol, pero considero que quedaría bien incluirlo :D

As an initial area could be a crypt or cemetery as mentioned in other posts, I would also include that the first kinematics is that you leave a tomb or something, this last is more to give a role, but I think it would be good to include it :D
When I read abour undeads and I think about an starting zone for them, all we think about a cementery, a city in ruins...and we always start at the point we are alredy an undead. As I wrote in other posts I think it could be good to start in an instanced area where our start is guided by some storyline, as we could do in WoW Wotlk with the DKs. I think it could be better to have like two starts, one instanced when you learn about your class, and when you finish it, you are send yo your race starting area and so; but it is true that maybe devs do not like this approach.
Although, I think it would be awesome to have this kind of starting area instanced with an storyline to tell when you learn more about your race the first 5-10 levels of game, and for the case of the undeads why not start as a human and become an undead during this quests? I imagine being a human of a kingdom faced to the humans of the sacred order (maybe this events can be even set on the past, playing with the fact that this area is instanced like in Guild Wars Prophecies) and while you are deffending your kingdom finally in the final quest you die but the great mage/witch Nepherimas cast a forbidden spell to save her people and rise all of the people as undeads. So maybe in your last part of the final quest you are resurrected, now as an undead and you after finishing your quests, you swear to serve Nepherimas, who send you to reconquer the territory of this old human kingdom you belonged and that was under attack by the humans of the sacred order.

I would like also that kind of instanced area with a storyline for the first missions for each class and race, like interactive tutorials, like DKs zone or DH zone, like the Isle of Exile from WoW, I liked those introductions. But I think it means a lot of work for devs, but we can dream can't we?
