It would be nice to know a bit more about how armor system would work to provide better ideas, like if each armor type will have passive skills or armor is just for increasing some stats, etc.

I think at the moment they are asking for ideas to get a sense of which "design" to go with.
Warriors are kind of the front line, trained in different types of combat so I think the armor would be different for each specialization.
Heavy armor for warriors that fight like Full Armored Medieval Knights, close and slow.
Leather/mail for warriors that fight like Crusaders, bit more mobility but less protection, less energy spent on moving and attacking.
Leather for warriors that fight that like Vikings or Romanian soldiers, idk. A balance between protection and mobility.
Light/leather for warriors that fight like a Gladiator or Vikings Berserker, maybe, they fight almost naked lol. Less protection, more mobility
Plate armor, chain mail/leather, leather. If there is a Barbaro specialization, the armor should be something like hide/animal skin.
