[EDIT: atm linebreaks dont seem to be working for me so hm.] The name would need some work probably but something that kinda bugs me is in the realm of magic, earth or anything related to it is seemingly ignored in most mmos in favor of a mage who uses anything but earth related stuff. So from some encouragement from the discord to post class ideas on the forums I have elected to do so!
Races: Bearen/Boargen
Role: Tank/DPS
Main Weapons: one-handed hammer + Shield/two-handed hammer
Resource: Mana
Tank Spec: Ironbound. An Ironbound Geobreaker learns to better hone their skills of iron manipulation to enhance their defense and become an unmovable mountain to protect their allies. Note cooldowns will only be theorized for a skill that otherwise would seem incredibly OP without one, and how it'd fit into a class better.
Example Skills:
Ironclad: Infuses rock and iron to form a protective barrier around yourself, reducing damage taken by x% for y seconds.
Earthen Ward [Shield Required, Buff]: Covers your shield in a layer of thick stone, increasing block chance by x% for y seconds.
Iron Hammer [melee range]: Bring down a hammer of iron on an enemy, stunning them for x seconds.
Shield Bash/Counter [Melee Range]: Slams your shield into an enemy after preforming a block dealing x damage, and increasing enmity. Cooldown 15 seconds. Enhanced Shield Bash/Counter: If Earthen Ward is active when a block occurs, Shield Bash/Counter inflicts x more damage to the target. Same Cooldown as normal.
DPS Spec: Earthbound: An Earthbound Geobreaker makes use of two-handed hammers or other weaponry and titanic strength to carve a path through enemies, causing the earth to shake and rumble turning the surroundings against their foes.
Example Skills:
Earth Shaker [Melee Range, Expands in a cleave]: Pound the ground with your weapon to send forth shockwaves of earth dealing x damage and slowing for y% for z seconds.
Upheaval [Ranged]: Toss a chunk of earth at the enemy dealing x damage.
Earthen Bite [Buff]: Enhances your equipped weapon with the might of the earth, adding x damage to it (say a weapon deals 15 damage it adds 5 to it ect)
Earthen Smite [melee range, Two-handed Required]: Smash the enemy with the force of an avalanche dealing x damage.
Just some very small examples on how it could work. If you wonder why it'd be only available to the Bearen or Boargen it's only cause I'd assume it being a natural themed class it'd likely be employeed by both sides, as they'd likely be more Intune to the world around them, as well as the earth beneath their feet. I only came up with the 2 specs cause I do not know if they plan to try and do 3 for classes at all, if so the 3rd could be based around magma since it has earth in it :P
