Cool series to see a climbing system similar to Zelda Breath of the Wild, this would make the game movement more fluid, especially in mountainous regions, imagine just climbing a mountain to face a boss, it would be very cool.

It would be really cool to have to do some climbing and parkour to get somewhere or do some mission or maybe even access some secret places that would only be accessible through climbing and parkour.
It would also be nice if there was a parkour system like Assassin's Creed.
There may be a climbing skill, a skill that improves as you climb higher.
And the better your climbing skill level, the faster you climb and the bigger jumps you can make.
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is an MMO in development that is developing almost their entire game around climbing (a little too much). Adding verticality to a game makes the world seem more alive and real. This would be an excellent addition to any MMO's traveling and exploring mechanics.

I agree that the world is more alive and real with a climbing system, I believe that this also makes room for more dynamic missions, not to mention that the movement of the characters is more natural. A great example of a climbing game is "Zelda Breath of the wild". Honestly, I don't understand why other games don't adopt this system.

Even though flying mounts might make this mechanic useless, I still think the climbing system is something that should be implemented because it makes movement more natural. The characters climb steep mountains by walking and jumping is practically a glitch, which I find strange.

I am pretty sure devs said they won't be implementing flying mounts at all. So climbing would be a great addition to traverse the land! Climbing over Flying any day

Flying is a HORRIBLE idea for any MMO. Flying takes away from player interaction.
