Let's get those precious minds to work and shape the best possible concepts for the classes.
So how will this work? We will ask you 5 questions (a question every day) about the class of the week. All your answers will be gathered and then evolved if needed, to create the best, and most fun to play class.
Yes! It's the week of the Mage! First, we will talk about the Armor.
Gorgeous Robes? Battlemage with chain mail armor? How about leather?
Let's see what comes to your mind and what would be best for the Mage.
Type of gear accordingly to the mage spec.
You already gave a good example: you specialized on battle mage? You unlock the ability to wear chain mail armor through that skill tree.
That way you evade full casters wearing heavy armor and other random combinations.

As he said or all mages cloth only. Don't see other real options.

Como el ha dicho o que solo puedan llevar tela. No veo otra opcion realista.
Hey,
Cloth only please.
And one more thing, allow us to totally remove / hide weapons while playing with mage class, IMO mage should use magic with hands instead of holding something and sling spells with it.
I know not everyone will like this idea but make it option, for example if you make animations like wow, when casters have just have their staves on their back and using hands to cast spells - that's ok, but if you make such option that character is holding staff or some totem and flings magic spells from it, PLEASE let us have option to hide weapon (ofc we will get it's stats) and still use characters hands to cast spells and magic.
Thanks

Depending on the role the mage will have: Cloth for dps, Chain mail for tank and cloth for healer.
Mage are known to be a control or smart class with low survivability. Use to be a ranged class.
I know this post is about mages only, but don't want to miss this thing.
If you make some classes like Worgen (WoW) or that you've already have - Bearan, will be cool to also allow us to Hide weapons for melee specs, for example Warrior or Druid only so Bearan could fight with it's claws and hands.
Will repeat - this should be option in character panel in the game, so someone if doesn't like it, will use weapons ofc. By default, character will use melee weapons, but if you untick that option, it will use claws / paws to fight. Will work only animal-like races, not humans and elves.

When I think of a magician I imagine an elderly man with a robe as clothing.
And since I do not consider it a class that would go to close combat, the best armor selection in my opinion is that it is only possible to use cloth armor.

For a classic magician, the ideal would be cloth armor.
If Scars of Honor is going to include the concept of Arcane Knight or War Mage (D&D-style table rpg), the intermediate armor option may be interesting but limited selection of spells, usually short area or upgrades to the melee attacks of the thaumaturgist.
See you
Hi team! Personally i would like the Mage class to be a bit squishy, so the cloth armor type will be best for that. Mages are usualy at the back or sides to cast long ranged magic, (but it could be cool to have some skills for up close interactions) so that is the main reason for the cloth armor.

As is common, a magician usually wears a long robe style tunic and so on, you just have to see the most famous magicians between merlin, gandalf and dumbledore, of course this could be something more modern if you want, wearing slightly different clothing forgetting the tunic for example, After all I consider that there should be a different armor for each type of magician, if there are several branches, either fire, frost, arcane, etc.
