Greetings,
I would like to suggest the implementation of a Teacher/Apprentice system that would reward veteran players with titles for helping newly joined players hit different milestones. The goal of this system would be to reward veteran players for helping new players learn the game and enjoy the game features, in order to keep the player base thriving. Titles and goals of the below idea are just a randomly and quickly thought up scheme, but hopefully you get the idea. Here is a basic outline/concept of what I have thought up so far:
1) Max level player is linked with new player for 30 days.
2) Level one rewards (title) for helping new player achieve 10 dungeon clears.
3) Level two rewards (title) for helping new player achieve 10 dungeon clears and 2 War Battles victories.
4) Level three rewards (title) for helping new player achieve 10 dungeon clears, 2 War Battle victories, and max level.
With love,
Joda

Hey Joda,
I like the idea of having a mentor, I've played pretty much all free MMORPG games and some payed and everytine I have to spend many hours of just gathering information and asking people what is what.
Also having a mentor is going to be easier to find a group for a dungeon or raid.

Greetings,
Yes I like the concept of helping new players out to give them the best experience possible as quickly as possible. My main gripe when I play a new game that has been out a while and I try it out, is that I feel so far behind and so lost. If I have a person to lean on for advice and to guide me through the major events of the game, I would enjoy it more be more likely to stick around in those games. The apprentice idea can be big or small, but a way to get veteran players to want to teach and help newbies in a positive way, and then those newbies grow and do the same thing to the next wave of trials.

Joda
